MetroMile is an auto insurance company designed primarily for low-mileage drivers in that its rates are based on mileage driven with data collected from the Metromile Pulse device in coordination with their app.

Features: The app allows you to review the mileage data collected by the Pulse device which plugs into your vehicle’s diagnostic port. The app also includes several other features allowing you to see where you parked your car, get street sweeping alerts to avoid tickets, view trip data, and also car diagnostic data.

Ease of Use: While the app is easy to use, some users report connectivity issues that lead to additional charges.

Esurance DriveSense

Features: Helps drivers track their driving habits and learn how to improve their safety. Provides detailed trip information, real-time feedback on driving habits, and, in some states, provides access to safe driving discounts.

Ease of Use: The app is easy to use, but some users report problems with accuracy and the ability to edit trips for which the app user was not driving but in the car as a passenger.
